Privacy Policy

Effective: January 19, 2026

Zero-Shot Log ("we", "our", or "the Site") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Site, how it is used, and the rights you have under applicable data protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Data Controller

The data controller for this Site is the operator (Ten), based in Japan. Contact: X (@zs_log_dev) via direct message.

2. Information We Collect

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Site. GA4 sets cookies and may collect your IP address (truncated where supported), a randomly generated Client ID, device and browser information, referrer, and pages viewed. The data is processed in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.

You can refuse this collection by disabling cookies in your browser, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

See the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy for further details.

Server Logs

The Site is hosted on Vercel. As is common for web servers, Vercel may record IP addresses, browser type, referrer URL, and access timestamps in server logs. These logs are used for site operations, security monitoring, and resolving technical issues.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for aggregate analytics needed to operate and improve the Site
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where required for non-essential cookies, withdrawable at any time
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) where required to comply with applicable law

4. Third-Party Services

Google Fonts

We use Google Fonts to render web fonts. Your browser connects to Google's servers to retrieve font data, and your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.

Embedded Content

Articles may contain embedded content from X (Twitter), YouTube, and other services. Embedded content from external services behaves as if you visited those sites directly. Each service's own privacy policy governs the data they collect.

5. Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, you have the right under the GDPR to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to:

  • Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via X DM (see Section 9).

6. Data Retention

Google Analytics user-level and event-level data is retained for the period configured in our GA4 property (default: 14 months). Aggregate, non-identifiable reports may be retained longer.

Vercel server logs are retained per Vercel's data retention policy.

7. International Data Transfers

The Site is operated from Japan and uses third-party services (Google, Vercel) that may process data in the United States and other countries outside the EEA. Where applicable, transfers rely on lawful safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses provided by the respective service providers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect as of the date it is posted on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective" date at the top.
